About Fabien

Fabien has sailed all his life and lived on a sailing yacht with his family during his childhood. Professional yachting has been a part of his life for decades and he has taken time to experience every role, gradually working his way through the ranks to obtain his Master Mariner’s licence and first Captaincy. He has command experience in large yachts (both motor and sailing) and cruise ships. He is also experienced in refit, construction & management, design & layout, class & flag issues, ISM, ISPS, MLC, dynamic positioning, ice-breaking & ice-navigation, and has years of expedition yachting and cruising all over the world including such locations as Antarctica and the Arctic, the Amazon and Orinoco rivers, the Great Lakes, Caribbean, Baltic Sea, North & Western Europe, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Red Sea, Indian Ocean, North, Central and South America, South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand & Subantarctic Islands, South-East Asia and more. The above, coupled with his mechanical & electrical engineering qualifications and other experiences such as yacht construction, scuba & free diving, large crane, moon-pool & ROV operations along with his language and social skills, make Fabien an ideal candidate for any captaincy, maritime-related project, position or captaincy.
